| My latest food craze is CHICK-FIL-A!!!! not only is their chicken far more superior than ALL the other chicken that I've eaten in my short life (it's moist, tender and juicy!!!) But check out their businesses statement of purpose!!! (below as found on wikipedia)
"to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."
They don't have very many locations in southern california as it's primarily a south eastern chain (based in Atlanta, GA) but there's on right off of they 60FWY at the Grand exit in diamon bar/walnut area. The food is WELL WORTH the drive and for many of your christians out there why contribute to conglomerates like McDonald when you can aid the cause for Christ with every bite!

It's been a while since I've eaten something that's been blog worthy!! HOWEVER, last Wednesday as I was cooking for the 4th Annual Thanksgiving Potluck my roommate was making lunch and offered to make me one. Being the one making the food for the evening, knowing what was going in the dishes....I figured I should save the calories and just wait till dinner. HOWEVER, my roommate insisted, and after careful consideration (i was STARVING!!! and the thought of waiting another 5 hours till dinner was making me feel sad....(i LOVE food)...) ONE BITE and MAAAAAN OH MAN I WAS SOLD!!!! Trader Joe's (or rather Trader Jose's as the packages label read...) Truly Handmade Flour Tortillas are THE BEST TORTILLAS IN THE WORLD!!! They taste so fresh!!! and AUTHENTIC!!! my roommates even said that it tasted like the tortillas that her grandma and mom made when they were little.
Whether eaten plain, or with cheese as in a quesadilla, or with bacon & cheese as in a wrap. In one sitting my roommate, SANDRA, and her fiancee, ricardo, ate the WHOLE PACKAGE....each package comes with 12. I ate two of the 12....so between her and her fiancee....they ate 10!!! dang!!! So SINCE I've been thinking about her tortillas, pondering other various ways to enjoy said tortillas........and TODAY i spent an HOUR driving to different Trader Joe's and i tracked down those tortilla's. I bought 3 packages and my roommates (sans Brenda....she was out) and PIGGED OUT!! yummy!! they taste GREAT with queso fresca, regular cheese, turkey, and I haven't tried it yet...but I can't wait to try it with a fresh turkey wrap!!! YUMMY!!! and WHILST trolling around on the internet I found out they make burrito sized tortillas too!!! YIKES!!! Sandra and I both DROOOOOOLLLLLLLLED over it!!!
So!!! If you like mexican food...REAL mexican food.....go out to your neighborhood trader joe's and pick yourself up a pack of Truly Handmade Flour Tortillas!!! I HIGHLY recommend it as do my roommates, who've actually eaten real handmade tortillas!!!!! | | |

As the days get progressively less bearable my diet become evermore indulgent and DEFINITELY less healthy!! So, one of my ALL time favorite foods at the moment (although its only MARGINALLY ahead of my other favorites) is TACO BELL!!! So after yet another long hard day at work filled with unusually unpleasant events i was finally pushed OVER the edge upon reaching my apartment....so of COURSE....i headed back out after i put my stuff away in search of the infamous 4TH meal....although for me it wasn't my 4th meal....it was my 3rd...even though it was PAST 9:30PM.
After getting lost (i thought it was on Pico Blvd....when really i was stinking driving up and down OLYMPIC!!) i finally reach my destination and order my usual!! 3 crunch tacos!! I usually order less to control my appetite because I'm SURE i can put away a whole family meal of crunchy tacos (thats 10) all by myself in one sitting! I felt adventurous so i got a quesadilla too. MAN were the tacos YUMMY!!! just the right amount of "meat" filling the lettuce was still crunchy, the chese was JUST right!! not too much, not too less. and the taco shells were PERFECT!! not cracked in half, not soggy and DEFINATELY not soaked in oil like some other places!! :D it was SOOOO delicious!! i always opt for the FIRE sauce....but then i LOVE spicy foods. The Quesadilla was a mistake though...it was gross!! instead of the real cheese inside...(like the cheese on top of the tacos) they use liquidy cheese...kind of like nacho cheese...which is MAINLY why i dont like nachos!!! i HATE cheese i can drink....(unless it's melted cheese....then its DELISH!!) Also i ordered the grilled steak quesadilla and they gave me the grilled chicken on instead...so bad i didn't realize till i got home...but it's all good.
I should have opted for the grilled taquitos!! it has real cheese inside and the "steak" is just the right amount. I've also tried the soft tacos which was pretty good...but i think theres too much tortilla...but some people like that. (although this may be blasphemous to taco bell fans...i personally enjoy the soft tacos at del tacos a little more...simply because their tortillas are a little smaller...). I'm all about moderation...not too much, and not too less!
So some other tasty treats at taco bell that everyone should try (besides the foods mentioned above) include the mexican pizza, the gordita, and the grilled steak (or chicken) burrito! YUMMY!!
Two things i DEFINITELY want to try in the future are the Crunch Wraps! It looks so tasty and convenient too!! and the fiesta salad express!! It has everything i like about the tacos in it EXCEPT no shell... :D (i dont like tortilla chips...i dont know why...) I'll have to order that on a day I don't feel like eating shell...but without the beans and sour cream!! bleh... :D
- Happy indulging!!
*edit* of course i kicked back my ENTIRE meal with a COLD tasty COKE zero!!! :D yummy!! what else would i drink?
